I have had this SH for 8 years. This summer i noticed the shimmy has got real bad when in 5th gear doing road travel. I checked the Archives and saw that I needed to put a spacer under the Half moongear in the steering box. I put a 1 1/8" washer there. That took up the vertical play in the shaft. Now I read about a beer can shim to install where does that actually go? I tried it out this evening and it seems 90% better. I can not see wear in the gears. IS there a shim that goes on the end shaft at bearing before I install the end Plug?
