Pulley has to come off after nut is removed as already posted, sometimes they come off easy and sometimes a good puller with a lot of pressure is needed. Make sure all but the lower inside bolt is removed from ignition drive housing, if steel plate behind front cover is going to need off you may as well remove ignition and drive completly. 2 bolts below drive need removed,also bottom bolt from governor housing. These have bolt heads to rear of tractor. Oil pan needs removed or at least loosened or bolts removed from front that go into front cover. If your going in to remove camshaft you may as well drop pan because the oil pump comes out before camshaft will. If you have all other bolts out of cover with heads to front of tractor, dowel pins and gasket seal is all thats left holding cover on.

Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
