Torque amplifier adjustment on a Farmall 656

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on adjusting a torque and clutch on a 656. Right now with the torque in the forward (direct) position the clutch seems to have two speeds as you let it out. It engages as it comes off the floor and as it comes off further it seems to jump forward as if in a faster gear.It is almost as if the two speeds of the torque are being activated in the clutch. The clutch is brand new as is the pressure plate and flywheel surface.I adjusted the clutch according to the book when I installed it after having overhauled the entire engine.
