sorry you had a bad experiance with one we sold right at one thousand units between 1966 and 1976, all of them with the power shuttle and not one mechanical shuttle, how long ago was this they said they were not available? last one I did was about four years ago had no trouble then getting parts but with Fiat involved I could see things getting only worse,, as to the removing the pto should only have taken a soft plug to plug the hollow shaft front and rear, if you still used the original one, and the power shuttle was a good design as they were usally good for 3000-5000 hrs if used correctly before a rebuild, also after you do the first one they are not really so bad at least to me if I had parts in stock I could do one in a 10-12 hr day complete easy if I ddi brakes at the same time it added 3-4 hrs also cnt
