That is a Poclain LC80, there were lots of them in the UK,the early ones had a French Agrom 6 cyl air cooled engine and the later ones had a 6 cyl Deutz, clean fuel was a must, the gauze in the feed pump of the Deutz was very fine and blocked easily causing it to miss fire and smoke, the hydraulics, you needed to understand them to work on them as they were not conventional,I still have all the tooling required to work on the pumps, the most common thing to go wrong with the hydraulics were the o'ring on the body of the main regulator valve would blow,in their day they were a good machine and were very poplar in the scrap handling business, back then Poclain were the leaders with grabs and magnets,if you have a look at the back end of the engine you will see that there is provision made to mount a generator for the magnet, its a pity to scrap it or any machine.
