I have one on my CASE 450. It's a 26-C. An extendable hoe. It's okay for what I need.
I actually bought the unit to clear some acreage, cut in a road (about a mile), build my house pad, (that's as far as I got), and dig the footings and septic system. But the economic turn-down has played into the project and I may never get past the pad, (which is certified and legal, and all of that), and wind up selling all of it.
I have used the hoe to dig out some big rocks and stumps, and to load the old tracks onto the trailer, that's about all that I used the hoe for.
Most of the time I run w/o the hoe on. The crawler has been outstanding. No complaints. I welded 1-3/8" grouser bars onto the track pads just before I put the new undercarriage under it. ($5,000).
Some have a counterweight to place on the back of the tractor, I do not. I get along just fine. I have it at my property in So. CAL. Kinda hilly and lots of Decomposed Granite, (like very coarse sand).
With the ROPS on the machine, you have to climb up and over to seat yourself into the hoe.
It looks like it could be adapted to go onto my Ford wheel tractor fairly easy. Something I have thought about.
If you'd like some pix, post an email and I'll send you some...sl
