The early IH 3414 is the industrial version of the British/Indian B-414 agricultural tractor and uses the BD-154 cubic inch engine. I have a B-275 ag. tractor that came originally with the BD-144 engine, and the 154 was a direct bolt-in. So, it seems, if you do have the 154 engine, there are lots of engines out there that will bolt in. B-275, B-414, TD-5 dozer, and more. Maybe your's is a later version using a bigger engine? I've never seen one, but I've worked on IH ag. tractors with a 239 diesel, e.g. the 574 and the 647.
