Hello Steve, The photo in the newspaper really caught my eye. I am almost sure the operator was my father, William A. Pence. He was the main mechanic for the Earl H. Pence Company. I spent lots of time beside him in the shop at the address on your newspaper clipping. The company name changed to Pence Brothers sometime after Earl Pence died. I do not recall that date, I had probably left home by then. They moved the business to Fremont, CA. I was away in the Army when the business close. I do not recall the date. I have a cousin and sisters that might recall. I recall hearing that all the parts inventory was put in storage in Castro Valley, CA., but I did not hear what ever happened to that. My cousin may recall. If you have any questions, I may be able to find and answer.
