Have a 1968 Case 310G that is stuck in 1st gear. I haven"t had it long, spent only around an hour runningh it so far. It shifted/operated fine. Then the fan belt broke, and while sitting it got vandalized. But, I"ve been able to start it and bring it home. Trans. fluid levels were low, and I wanted to drain it out, replace it with new. Got 2 quarts of water & 2 quarts of sludge out. I definitely didn"t do a good enough look over on the machine when I bought it. I"m pretty concerned. I"m hoping to get the shifter off...think something (detente balls?) might be stuck. Anybody have any ideas?
