Thanks, I think you might do well to remove the pump Tim. It would be easier to drill the broken manifold studs. To remove the pump take the TDC plug out of the flywheel housing and the 9/16"hex plug from the odd shaped housing rear of the plate on the pump. Rotate the engine untill the shank of a new 1/4" drill bit will go down the hole in the pump and drop into the slot in the camshaft. Check the hole in the flywheel is inline with the hole in the housing and a 3/8"NC bolt will thread into the flywheel. You are now timed up. Take off front cover and pull gear off tapered shaft. When installing pump amke sure bolt will go into flywheel and the #1 valves are both loose. Turn pump shaft untill drill drops into slot, mount pump and install gear.To install gear torque bolt to 100 Lb Ft. You need a special socket to take nut off of pumping element, fuel shop might be best way to go. Later Bob
