If your drive belt is operational so you are able to drive it, you have a single speed setup. I am facing the same problem with one I bought years ago. Come to find out those models came either as single speed or variable speed. I am in the process of having a machine shop make what I need. The original had a hydraulic valve on the left side to control the sheave. I have all the books on it showing the original setup but I am going to make mine electric over hydraulic for control.
