hard to say---like dalet,others, i have replaced a shaft with stripped spline on one end. it was in a dump truck with 8v71. happened while reving engine to dump load. everything seemed ok in blower. idea was to try to move off jobsite--ended up driving 75 miles home. checked again & put back to work---
