Finishing up with this c301 in a 706. This Engine came out of a 715 combine with its original carb. the carb on the tractor has the inlet facing forward not backward like in the combine. Is it as simple as disassembling the carb to put the linkage on the opposite side? Need help!

This is a diesel to gas engine swap. This is a old worn tractor and after the freshly overhauled D282 engine broke a valve and destroyed just about everything we decided to go the cheap way we thought in fixing it.

Head is not clear enough this morning to see that carb , But i do not think it is as easy to flip around . . BUT if you have to get a new carb make sure that it is off a 301 as jetting differs from C263 and the C291 . The wrong carb will cause the engine to run lean and lean is mean and will destroy the engine.

do you have any buddies at a machine shop? just got done changing one over. you need to mill and drill the boss on the other side of the throttle shaft and the choke. it's not rocket science.
