504/Disc Brake Spring

Trying to fix the disc brakes on a 504. Had problems getting everything apart and off the tractor. As a result, I have no idea where the little springs that are attached to the inside of the drums hook on. I don't see an obvious place and the manual doesn't mention it.

the spring is positioning spring it fastens to ancor

I have had the brakes on my 504 apart a few times and recently last summer. If I remember correctly, the spring is actually hooked into the eye of one of a cotter pin on the pressure plate assembly. My memory isn't great but that seems to be what I recall. My tractor has been in our family since new, so I try to keep it exactly the way it came from the factory. FYI--the IH 504 brakes leave a lot to be desired.
