440 Baler busted jack

I drove the jack into the hitch when baling by going thru a ditch over a paved road into another hay field. Did not notice jack had fell down. CNH has no parts, and in western Canada there seems to be no junkyards with balers. Found that the 435/445 series of balers uses a simple support that bolts on under fwd part of the gearcase. The jack is just a simple 1/4 turn pipe jack. This allows hitch to be free and able to be moved when parked. CaseIH does not have that part either. Did some research and found that this support would fit every IH baler from 1963. Phoned CaseIH about getting a drawing on PDF so could produce my own support. CaseIH is hesistant due to it's proprietry. Any advice?

Three choices. Have the one you have repaired or duplicated with fresh material.
Find a heavy trailer tongue jack that is sturdy enough and bolts on.
Find a replacement from a scrapped baler. I would go with the replacement using a modern jack. Jim

You can get a 'real' implement jack(pipe swivel mount) for under 40 bucks from Northern;Valubuilt;Abilene;Harbor Frieght......

The part number for the jack support is 210519C1.

It looks fairly simple to make. Just a large piece of angle steel with two holes drilled, a pipe welded to the side, and a gusset or two.

You can get a picture of it at partstore.caseih.com, look up the 445 baler, go to page 2 of the diagrams, and click on the jack listing.
