1950 H Puller's latest performance.....

I have had some discussion on my 1950 Farmall H puller. This tractor, for those of you just tuning in, is equipped with the low low first gear. Serial ending with X1A.
I recently pulled at the Westfield Fair in Westfield Mass. Stock classes went from 4500# to 10500#. I pulled 4500#, 5000#, 5500# and yes, 6500#. There was alot of people that said no way. Well, I won 6500# class. In fact, I was the only one to make a full pull the second time around. Alot of people made the full pull with 10000#. When they added another block to make it 11000#, I was the only one to make a full pull. Keep in mind, the chain is long but everyone pulled the same chain on the same track. Against John deeres, Olivers, and such.

Looks like your gonna break that poor ole H in half with all those weights hung on her belly...Great Job...Cmore

I have a couple of H's with the low-low first gear. They do pull very well. The more weight you put on them the better they pull. I always run out of traction before I run out of power.

Yup. Didn't come close to powering out. And the tractor was nowhere near over loaded in the middle. about 760 lbs between both belly bars. My buddy had almost 1000lbs just on the bell housing one on his.

Good job........I have an M with the X1A and it pulls like a real bear too.

I'd like to find either an M with low gears or a Super C. I would lean more toward the Super C with low gearing if there was such an option. It would have to be stock too.

thanks, It couldn't have worked out better. Im glad I took pictures as I plan on setting up the weights like this for every 6500# class pull.
