next weekend the naa gets some needed repairs- in the process of rounding up all the parts. new clutch is one of the items. looking thru parts catalogs one said its clutch kit didnt include the pilot bushing / bearing that goes in the flywheel on a naa. but they also didnt have it lised for sale. shop manual wasnt a lot of help either. is there some special bushing used on these that isnt used on the n series? dont want to get it split and find im short a part. thanks

I don't know what link you posted but it's disallowed.
Why wouldn't you buy your clutch from the good folks who provide this great free site?
I try to support them by buying parts here whenever I can.

Try to support those that support you. I've had limited dealings with parts purchases from this site but they've all been good. Planning some additional purchases this spring to get the Ns up to snuff for the summer.

it does have a bushing, i did mine a few months ago, got the kit ultradog is showing you, its what you need

link i atatched was just for referance since they were the only ones i saw that even referanced the bushing. like i said im shopping for parts. actually more in the research phase. thanks for the link

OK doing more digging. here is the text from the link i gave: (that mentions a pilot bushing)

Please read complete application information including serial number break.---9", 10 SPLINES. KIT CONTAINS: CLUTCH COVER, CLUTCH DISC, RELEASE BEARING, PILOT BEARING & ALIGNMENT TOOL. NAA and JUBILEE USED A PILOT BUSHING THAT IS NOT INCLUDED.

here is the text from the link UD gve me:

Description: Fits 8N, 9N, 2N, NAA, Jubilee, 600, 620, 630, 640, 650, 660, 700, 800, 900. Kit contains 9 inch 10-spline spring drive disc, 9 inch single pressure plate, pilot and release bearings, includes pilot tool.

they both seem to have the same parts but im still confused why one says i need a pilot bushing and the other does not mention it at all. confusing to say the least.

but if the folks here with much more expirience say UD's link shows all the parts i need i'll go with it. thanks again.

Not everyone changes the pilot bushing (or bearing) when changing a clutch but it is good insurance (if the replacement bushing/bearing is of good quality). The bushing can be bought seperately from CNH.

Post back if you do not know how to remove the old one.

AFAIK, 9N,2N, and 8N all used a ball bearing pilot bearing. NOT so with the NAA.

Here"s what the parts catalog shows for the NAA, complete with part numbers. Do you know yet which yours has, a bearing or a bushing? If you GOOGLE the bushing part #, there"s LOTS of sources.(EAF6375B is the part number of the flywheel that requires a bushing rather than a bearing.)
