Headlight gromment

Where can the plastic, or hard rubber be gotten that goes directly under the headlight housing and above the clamp that holds the healight to the crosss bar?
On a 53 super C Farmall

The parts diagrams are off line this morning, but I have no recollection of a component as you describe. Those pancake lights we have are directly mounted to the clamp. Jim

Jim, I looked in my Super C parts catalog (paper copy) and there isn't anything like what is described in this thread shown. Just the flat back light assembly with the spacer, clamp, washer and nut. He might have had one to keep from marring paint and if that is the case a washer from one of those hardware store small parts drawer should suffice. For that purpose one from some rubber product, plastic and even a fiber one would be fine, Hal.

I think it would be the spacer, but I wasnt sure exxactly what it was called, thanks

If you are referring to the spacer it will be steel and about 3/8" to 1/2" or so long with a hole a little larger then the 1/2" stud on your lamp to slide through. The outside diameter is probably around 3/4" or maybe a little smaller (not near one to measure). The spacer goes between the lamp housing and the lightbar clamp with a split locknut and hex nut on the bottom. Spacers are available from about anyone who sells parts for the letter series tractors.
