Hello; Our bale loading SM has serial # SM 45705 J. Does that make it a 52? And what does the J stand for? I what to order a complete carb kit. Anyone have a good place to order from? Thanks Bobmn

give rusty farmall a shout for your carb kit. there is a number on a small tag on the carb that identifies it. he will get you the correct kit.

The s/n 45705 J is a late 1953 Super M produced at the Farmall Plant in Rock Island, Illinois. The J code indicates it was made with a Rockford clutch. Contact Rustyfarmall at www.tornholmsag.com or phone (712) 370-4215 as he is Mr. Carburator for our Farmalls as noted in the earlier post, Hal.

Thanks Guys!! Grt info from both! I have 40 more 1250# bales to load this weekend, and then I'll get at the carb. Thanks again, Bobmn

If you ever need to look up more serial numbers, just look to the left side of this page under the heading "RESEARCH & INFO". There is a section for Serial Numbers there. Simply "drill down" through the brands and models to find out when a tractor was made.
