Im looking to buy a compression tester. Im going to use it for my tractor. Not sure if I need a specific one. Any suggestions on a good one?

Most any auto parts store sell them and most you can buy for less then $20 and they come with the adapters to fit all the common plug sizes. Only plug hole I have that mine will not fit in is my 1935 JD B which uses a very big plug

you should get fittings for applications you want and eval psi range desired. then go to www.sears.com
search parameter " compression tester kit "
many to choose from. OTC etc. spend > $ 80 and you will have a good tool for life.

Yea, the big plugs are tough to find adaptors for.

I took an old plug, broke out the ceramic, filled it with JB weld, redrilled & tapped with one of the smaller metric sizes in my Harbor Freight kit. Works well. Cheap spark plug taps are available at Auto Zone or similar places.
