66 series red cab

Any ideas how much a red cab off a 966 is worth? The doors are both good and shut like they should and aren't bent up. All glass is good too. Has a/c but doesn't hold a charge. Good paint. Radio works. Thanks for the help. DK

In my neck of the woods they are worthless. Everybody around here wants a Year Round or a Hiniker which can bring a grand or more if in good shape. The big ole IH cabs get scrapped.

Aound here ( eastern Canada ) 66 cabs go for 800 to 1000. Most guys want their 66 series to be open station, but they want their 86 series to have a cab. Kent

I've got a 966 that I'm taking said cab off. So if anyone is interested at all let me know. I'm in nebraska. I now have an 8920 to do winter work and I've always liked the 66s with no cabs.

I bought a new '75 1066 with a Year-A-Round QT cab. Traded it the next year for a new BS 1066 with the red IH deluxe cab. IMO, there was no comparison between cabs, the IH cab was a much better cab, quieter, less dust, & better AC. The QT cab had the plastic cover over the gauges. After a week the dust behind the cover was so bad I couldn't read the gauges so I cut it out.

The doors have value[$100] but in our area $200 per ton and they weigh around 1000#+-.We did have a mint one that brought $1000 w/working A/C.
