Adding a PTO to IH 3414 tractor

I own a IH 3414 tractor with no PTO however the tractor does have a couple of cover plates one where the engagement lever should be and the other at the rear of the tractor where the PTO shaft should be. I have removed the lever cover (below the seat on right side of tractor) and I can see the inner PTO shaft. It appears that all I need to add is the clutch and the rear PTO shaft assembly.
Has anyone done this before? Where can I locate parts?
Can it be done without removing the lift cover?
Anything I should / should not do before tackling this job?

This tractor is a intregal framed loader tractor with a heavy duty front axle. It was the mechanical/drive train parts of a B414 British tractor & engine. It evolved from B414 to 424 then 444. The transmission was equipped with a torgue converter to enable the hydra-shuttle forward & reverse. I would guess that a 414 pto would work. If possible call a CNH dealer & get the parts dept to print you some pages about pto parts break-down for research. Get the same from Komatsu/Dresser/Hough parts and see if any match. 3414 was unique sold only by CE dealers.
