Very impressive. Love that plow. What make is it? The color is throwing me off a bit. That's the first 4 row trip plow that I can ever recall seeing. Mostly see 2 and 3 row.

Thanks for posting your pics. Have never seen that model of tractor. Is it a 650 utility? Looks kind of like the WD 9's. I really like it though and wouldn't mind having one for myself.

Is a wheatland a special order machine then? Sometimes manufacturers made models for a specific region of the country, is this the case for this one? Is it a very big model? It's pulling a good size plow so it must have quite a bit of horsepower?

Thank you for the repsonse

Wheatlands are also known as Standard tractors. Like standard tread width rather than an adjustable row crop tractors (aka H or M) The 650 is just an updated WD-9. Same size, few more ci, live hyd, etc. They were for the wheat areas where tractors mostly did drawbar work instead of cultivating and hay work.

Just like the M-SM-400-450-560 progression you have the WD-9 then SWD-9 then 600d then 650d then 660d (Drop the d and you would have a gas tractor) They also had rice versions of the tractors that had a few different options. Do some Googling on that. They are pretty cool.

That makes a lot of sense. I thought it looked like a WD-9. I love those things, look big and beefy fat things. Really would like to have one someday.

I tried to google the Wheatland 650 and didn't find any results. I didn't try really hard, to be honest.

Thanks, really cool.

When the ground surface is just a little wet, how do you get the plows to come out of the ground with that slick-tread tire on the left?

You go for breakfast. It is 2012 and we know better than plowing wet ground.

wet or dry ground it dont matter. that wheel just turns an essentric basically inside the housing and when the rope is pulled it lifts the plow. then when pulled again it drops back down. we had some rain here and that is making plowing much easier. it was very dry when pic was taken.
