ive talked to del newgaard who has a super c and can get it for 4000.00 it has a 2 bottom plow, , blade , cultavator, draw bar , nerrow front if want to change from wide. good paint , runs sound. do you know this guy, and or is that maybe a fair deal both ways? thanks del is in shuyville iowa.

Tractor is in perfect shape for any show and with all the extras as they are hard to find. Del is a straight shooter your money and your deal and nobodys business what you buy. Always somebody says thats too high but where is it and what shape hauling gets expensive.

With new tires and body shop paint and the extras. Have you priced tires and body shop paint.
On the surface most everyone is going to tell you that's crazy high, even with a bunch of implements.
What are you getting for your $4000?
A tractor that with minor issues, a few leaks, so-so tires, could use a paint job? $4000 is nuts.
If you get a show-ready, showroom-fresh tractor with zero leaks, new tires, and a professional paint job, it's a fair deal.
When you sit down and think about it, paying a lot for a nicely-redone tractor, you will be $$$ ahead. Especially if you put a $$$ value on your time. For some people it's the thrill of the chase and working on the tractor to fix it up and make it run like new again. For others, they just like having a nice tractor in their barn.
The real question here is are you buying a pig wearing lipstick and new sneakers, or is it the real deal? Gene says the guy is a straight shooter.

Sounds pretty expensive, but so isn't spending time searching and driving all over creation to pick up those parts if you need them.
There's a lot to be said for getting everything you need in one deal right when you want it.
You're paying for convenience.
Hard to say for sure, but from the sound of it I'd guess "convenience" is costing you between $500 and $1000 on that tractor.
Add up all the time and money you put into searching/driving/shipping for the various parts and you're probably not doing all that bad.
Personally, I'd offer 3500 just to bring it closer to a "good" deal - never hurts to try.

The 1st super C i bought for $500 not running. Got it running for about $250 and a couple weekends. I pd $1500 for a 200 running and in good shape. I have spent the last several years collecting mounted and fast hitch implements. Neither tractor has ever been repainted.
I passed on several tractor packages the had been reconditioned. At the time I thought that they where too expensive. NOT!!!
Had I kept track of my time, fuel, and travel expenses in collecting that 1st SC I'm sure I spent way more than the $4k your talking about.
If you like it, can afford it, BUY IT. You be far ahead financially than trying to restore one yourself. Let alone even finding the implements when you want them.
I chose to spend about 7k on my SH. +++ all my hours of labor. It's still won't bring near that IF I wanted to sell it. It never was and still is not an investment. It's a toy that I really enjoy.

Those attachments are also worth some good money just finding a good cult is hard to find here. I havent seen the tractor for a while does it have the fast hitch. You need to restore the cult for shows.
