What five IH pre 1960 tractors would you collect if you could have your ideal/dream collection of five tractors?

My ideal/dream collection would include: 1. IH Heburt Shop Mule, 2. International I-4 Indutrial (already have), 3. Farmall SMTA (without TA), 4. Farmall B-450 Diesel, and 5. McCormick WR-9 Rice Fiels Special.

What would you ideal/dream five pre 1960 collection include?

Harold H

This should be interesting. Mine would be Cockshut 60 (Oliver 60, but painted red) Massey Harris Challenger, Massey Harris 101 Super, Oliver 77, Farmall 300, and Massey Harris General Purpose 4 wheel drive.

#2 450 Farmall gas with Fast Hitch

#3 Oliver Super 88 gas (with Oliver plow and all other implements)

F-20 with factory wide-front
W12
1956 350 Diesel
Early Super M

I'll keep dreamin' (unless anyone around SW IA has one of these for sale....)

I have 3 of them already:
Super H

Super M

Regular

Would love to add:
F 30

300 or 350

400 or 450

460 or 560

Lately I have been thinking about a B and a Cub also, just for fun !

For 200 acres of good tillable.
SMTAD-
350U W/FH(have)
450gas W/FH
White 2-135

Jim

1. F12 - single front - Great Grandpa"s first tractor

2. WK40 - Great Uncle had one of these.

3. WD-9 - Just like them

4. F30 - just like them

5. 400 - good all around tractor

I have :
Super C with fast hitch and most of the mounted and fasthitch implements
200 with fast hitch.
SC & 200 are configured differently so I don't have to reset wheels or swap mounted implements
53 stage 1 Super H
54 stage 2 Super H
55 300 with fast hitch

Is this enough equipment to handle 14 acres?

My goal is to have enough tractors and equipment to dedicate each to a specific task. That way I can just fire one up to do what I need to do without having to change implements.

#1 super M TAD
#2 450
#3 240 row crop (have still tryn to get the implements)
#4 super H
#5 560 D or 340 row crop

What I already have, Super A, C, Stage 2 Super H, Stage 2 Super M, 460 Hi Utility. All but the Super M is restored, currently working on it. Also have a second C and a 350 row crop waiting for restoration, would like a 350 utility and a 450.

1. Early regular
2. 1936 F20
3. 1939 F20
4. 1946 H
5. 1954 Super H
6. Farmall 300
7. Farmall 350

I know you only said 5....
but line all these up at a show & it would be interesting to see how Farmall had developed & changed over the years.
All wide fronts would be nice.....maybe after I win the lottery.

I have 5 pre 1960 IH tractors:

1945 I-6
1947 MD
1946 A-21 Hebard Shop Mule
1950 Cub
1950 Farmall C

I also have 2 Mid 70s IH 140s. A 1944 U-2 Power Unit. A 1922 Type M 6 HP engine. Various implements.

Don't wnat any pre 60 IH wheeled tractors......none, nada....zip...zero.

But then I'm a user not a collector, now if I were to collect......well they would all be newer than 1960!

Rick

I would love to have one, but I don't have anyplace for a tractor of that size, so I just have to dream of having one.

Harold H

(quoted from post at 23:44:01 10/02/12) sorry didnt notice post said ih tractors but i do own a Ih 656 deisel hydro but it is a 1969
I didn't pay that much attention either, so maybe sub a 350U gas and an early Cub (47?) which was the very first tractor I drove. Have a picture of me at about age 5 or 6 on it. Dad sold it to a guy in Minn. when he bought his first C in '49.

Well between my brother, dad and I we have 53H,50MD,72 574,674,65 806,856,1466,1086,4166,I know some are not pre 60. The ones that are are the only ones I would really care to have except maybe a 350,and 450 diesel without ta or fast hitch.

1. 49M tricycle gas [have]
2. SMTA tricycle gas
3. 400 or 450 tricycle gas
4. Farmall regular
5. Farmall F-30

I like the old Oliver 77's and 88's too. Also the old AC's. All tricycle.
If the list was top 10, I'm sure they would be in there somewhere. If you'll notice, JD is nowheres in sight. :p

I'm a fan of the wheatland tractors:

650 gas
650 diesel
Super WD-9
WD-9
WD-6 TA
W-30

But I'll take any red tractor. McCormick/Farmall/International are all good!

Got the B, need an IH 16 hay rake to pull with it. Uncle and I both learned to rake with that B with a 16 rake.
Got the SM, grandma bought it new.
1066, 300, and a 756, 966, or 1066 hydro.
