Don't know for sure what I did but it worked

To try to make a long story short - last fall 2N was giving me lots of its, bucking, backfiring, hard starting, it was everything I could do to get the fall plowning done. Parked it in Oct and have been stewing about it. Was getting inconsistant fuel flow from the fairly new fuel bowl assembly. Tank seems clean enough, all screens clean, but would get a burp in the fuel flow to the carb. Replaced old fuel line - still no help. So after sitting all winter, I pulled the dist cleaned/adj the points, used Old Hokie's neat tool and found the timing off a little bit. Tore the bowl assebmly apart made sure all orfices were clear. Checked all screens again, cleaned the plugs, charged the battery, cleaned those connections and fresh alcahol free gas. Started right up. Hooked up the brush hog and mowed some heavy wet grass and NO Problems! Also did a lot of praying before hand and lots of thanks afterword. I expect I am going to get the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Thanks to all the great advice on this forum - all kinds of it running through my head as I was going from one item to the next!

(quoted from post at 19:28:33 05/09/13) Thanks Royse, and it sure feels better writing about success too.

Frank;
Ya did good!!! Don't really matter what ya did, you got it going again, and the way you did it was good. Plan of attack, was great, and you didn't just start throwing parts at it. ONE step at a time, usually does the trick!!!

Got yer email, and will try to reply, after I go through Leslie's car. Waiting for the parts house to open...then start workin' on it.

All is good here!!!
