got the old kinda run better

took off intake and clean it out found where
someone braze intake back on..
clean out intake i had found nothing no rat or
mice nest,not even a yellow jacket nest.. i did
loses up exhaust a little.. it ran lot better but
now it loping now but run for about 10 min and
start staving for fuel or something.. then shut off
and easy to start but lope and start
running about 10 minutes still puzzling

Check your carb/gov linkage and make sure the springs are in place and not binding up. Also the carb could be set to lean or clogged up. Does choking it hurt or help??
