It kinda depends on what you are doing with the weight. If you are looking to add some ballast so you get better traction with a load in the fel and are considering something like a weight box or a barrel of concrete then I would say 600 lbs would be the max you'd need.
If you are thinking about a heavy brush hog hanging off the back where the lift is having to carry it that is different.
For the weight box or concrete you could fashion some stay bars so the lift is not having to carry the weight. If you are thinking about using a boom pole or something where the weight is hung farther back then the max weight would go down considerably.
 
Well it is said that 800lbs will make the front end real light but with a loader on that is not a problem. So now as Ultra said depends on what you doing so fill in the blanks and maybe we can help you more
