12V roundcan conversion - no fire!

46 2N front mount converted to 12V. I drilled an old 6V squarecan & that went well- all connections have continuity. I bought NAPA IC 14SB coil, installed it, bypassed all resistors and get no spark- Put 6V coil back on with all resistors and it fired right up so I know points & all are fine. Then put back 12V round & no go. What should I try next?

that means you have concluded it is a wireing problem in your conversion.

double check the following:

wire from key goes to round coil primary, and then fromt the other primary terminal, it goes out and to the connection on the coil that uses the pig tail.

the 2ndary of the round goes to the connection int he square with the flat tab.
