8n brake spring

just Finnish up brake job and it don't look right on left side it took 3 spring make it work.
it say in manual that the right side take two spring and left side take three spring.
but i put to together and push the right side petal down it won't return back up the brake i had micro adjustment to the drum so there done right..
so should it be 3 spring the brake on right side too

You don't need the third spring to "makeit work" on the right side. If you have an extra, it's helpful, but it will work as designed w/ 2.

Check out the position of the adjusters in the pics.

(quoted from post at 15:02:32 12/24/12) Put them in backwards & the adjuster is next to impossible to reach w/ a tool.
OK, so then, why did they put the adjuster slot high on the right & low on the left side???

My guess with out confirming it theirs only one part # for the backing plates...

You're probably right Hobo. Remember the older GM's, I think it might have been the Monte Carlo, that had the e-brake cable going through the backing plate from the primary shoe side?
