replaced head gasket today, pics

I replaced head gasket in my '50 N today. I felt fortunate the bolts came out no problem. Puzzled over getting the head off, it seemed stuck really good, but just a couple whacks with the butt end of a sledge hammer and it popped right off.
I'd appreciate comments on the state of the gasket, there's a couple places that maybe look like deterioration from the coolant.
I had one little area that would weep a little, not enough to drip, and some days not at all. If you were looking at the left side of the tractor, the area was way to the right, so back end of the head closest the driver.

Need help to get the hood with gas tank back on, so I'll hook up a temporary gasoline hookup to test it and see if it leaks or it's OK.

What you had was a gasket that had lived its life span,,, anything other than replacement would have just prolonged the inevitable and maybe caused farther damage... You done good pat yer-self on the back few me...

It would be easy work to drill the head boss for a temperature sending unit . If it were a little off center or a little at an angle would not be a problem .

Cast iron drills and taps super easy , just remember that a pipe thread tap is tappered so the hole gets bigger the further in you go .
