How would you like to be in this position?

Our hunting tractor got stuck at night deep into the marsh requiring an hour and a half walk in hip boots out Sunday night. Three of us hiked back in Mon.morning and extracted it and the trailer with a chain, rope, come-along, tow strap.

Sure makes one feel good when you get one out of a mess like that though, doesn't it? Good job. I won't ask how you got it in that mess though.

At dark my friend called me on the radio and asked me to bring the tractor deep into the marsh to pick up a deer. Otherwise it was a long hard float/drag out to where we park the tractor each trip. We have done this hundreds of times however hurricane Sandy made the area more saturated and the mud deeper than usual. Chris made a fatal error trying to go through a hole on a different angle so the tractor had to climb a vertical wall of mud. Not a good idea.

(quoted from post at 14:10:08 12/03/12) The amazing thing was it started right away after being in this postition all night.

Somehow the words tractor and marsh together give me the chills.

I'am sure you got the deer,And I hope it was A nice one, post deer pic.I hope your deer hunting was,is A good one. geo/2ns

First and last time I used the tractor to fetch a deer - same thing - stuck in the creek - threw a chain and gave up for the night. dug it out the next day & hauling those 2 deer out by hand at night was not much fun...... now 4 wheeler with winch only for deer hauling - no more tractors!

If that girl sat in that all night you might need to check and see, but I bet ya got H2O inside, like brakes axle ring and pinion. No doubt it found its way to places where ya dont want it. Dont ask me how I know.

Man looks like you had it in there,Glad you were able to get it out... Must have been trying awhile, looks like the guy in the third pic had to take a leak behind the tree.lol.
