Worth the effort?

I have seen this on CL for a while - tempted to make lowball offer - I guess the 'running' replacement engine is going to be a risk as it might not run! Would be a project to keep me busy during the winter!

Now, yer taking 'Tractor'.....a whole lot more than the 'Jube' you were looking at last summer!!!
I agree with Bob G.,......make an offer on that one!!!! Looks are decieving...a little rough, but with an extra block, to work with....you could just have a 5-6000 dollar tractor, when you finish up!!!

I had a chance to do an M/S carb for a local here, and he had a 2000 ford!!! Man, what a power-house that was.!!!!!! Big industrial back-hoe, and a hugh front bucket, on it!! I ran the back-hoe, for awhile after installing the carb......Half throttle, and the engine didn't even grunt.!!!!!!!! Dug a 6' hole in about 20 min's with it.

Take the chance.........GO FOR IT!!!.......JMHO!!!

Make a offer, a winter project is a must if ya got time on your hands and it beats the tube all winter as life is short. Just do it. Transportation is the main cost on this deal. I would guess its something he wants out of his hair.

The power steering is always a nice option.
I can't tell if the tires are checked, but the tread looks decent.
If it were close I'd go look it over and see what he'll take!

Yeah, I would buy that tractor too. Even at full price.
Once you have power steering you will never go back.
Only drawback I can see is it only has the 4 sp tranny.
Notice the extra heavy front axle. The rear axle on those industrial models is extra stout too.
