8n valve rattle bad

I bought a 8n non runner. Hope it ran,it had 45 lbs of oil pressure cranking. I got to messing with it today. Replaced the carb and some priming up and running. Problem i encountered was the WORST valve rattle i have ever encountered. Beside pulling head and doing the obvious anyone think a valve lash adjustment might cure it ?

Might help IF it has the adjustable lifters installed. Also might not be valve rattle. Might do a compression test before removing the head.

fordtractorpro ,Pull the covers off the side for a look see.Roll it over and look for sticking valves, excessive valve stem clearance. If you still don't see the problem, then start it up and listen with the covers removed.
