Installed water pump and radiator, filled with 10% vinegar and started up to see if w/p would push thru the head w/o tstat. Waited a few mins and sure enuff it began circulating. Watched it for a few minutes, vinegar got pretty cloudy but had full circulation. I'm wondering if the vinegar may have damaged the w/p bearings? Should I refill with antifreeze or let the vinegar work on any chunks of rust that may be left in there for a few days?

normally leave a full gallon in them for a week.

I always use 100% pure vinegar when I am flushing a cooling system and have yet to have it cause any problems in any thing unless of course you have a rust hole that is clogged by the junk in a system
