I got one just like it and they work real well. I paid the same for mine but mine was used to scoop out a manure barn , mine is full of little holes from the acid , I never bothered replacing the bottom because mine sits outside any water gets in it drains.

As for their use a rear scoop (or slip scoop)
is great for a lot of things. Digging a ditch, moving dirt, gravel, rocks, wood chips and other kinds of material.
The advantage to the scoop in the ad is it is reversible so you can use it forward and backwards.
Reversed it works good for hauling your tools or chainsaw, oil, gas, etc out to where you are working.
Here's a couple of pics of a 2N and Dearborn slip scoop digging down a knoll and a later tractor with reversible Ford scoop hauling rocks out of a deer plot.

Where as I don't like a front loader on an N. These work very well. And that's a great price for a reversible scoop.

Between a scoop, boom pole and rear blade I have gotten by pretty well without a loader.

The ad is gone now. How much was it? I got a Ford 706 reversible scoop at an auction for $35 a few years ago. Very useful tool. I like being able to dump it from the tractor seat using the levers. Much better than those units with the pull cable.
