Need to know?

Forum Members,
I need to know the length and width of a replacement belt on a 2N Ford tractor. Everything is original- 6 volt and all.
Had an interesting thing happen to my 6 volt generator while buzz-sawing firewood in northern Minnesota yesterday. I noticed the ammeter not showing a charge. Tried to motor it and all it would do is growl slightly. Removed it from the tractor and shook it.It rattled? Took it apart and found that two posts holding a brush and spring tension mechanism had come out. Tapped them back in and it worked like a charm. Anyone ever have this happen to them?
All thoughts welcome!

Mr T.......according to my hand written notes in my MPC, yer 2N should need a 5/8x45 fan belt; p/n 9N-8620-B3 ........the belted Dell

According to my new "industrial catalog" from NAPA, the same #'s should work.

How is that "rat poision doing"? I heard on PBS that that treatment is now obsolete!

Someth'N 'bout a belly scan with your old radio waves should do OK for Medicare and Blue Cross Supplements.

Today makes the end of our "season" here in PA. Nutter 30 days to get 'dem apples cold and then:

Relaxation period. Bask in the WINTER snows....Maybe Saint Michaels, Md. in the BOAT BARNS for a place to "let the hair down".

Florida ain't in the cards, this Winter. No Hurricane Damage, so far.

John.........well the PBS story is semi-correct, it is MUCH more expensive. But the "rat-poison" (warfarin, AKA known as coumadin) is so much "cheaper". Still haffta go see the "vampire" every 3-months for other reasons ........Dell

Hey Dell
Yeah the rat poison may be bad for you but I am on Dialysis and I take 15 units one day and 10 on the next. If I don't then my access arm will clot off the next time I do dialysis. Also on Plavix and Lipitor.
Dialysis 3 days a week for 4 hours so I let the dr.s keep me alive for the last 10 years.
Does the ford 2000 gas shut off turn left or right to shut off the gas. Right now it does not want to turn and I am trying to find a service manual to no avail.

rd........just walked out to my 8N and the under-the-tank glass filter round knob is righty-tighty, lefty-loosey. 2-turns for normal operation.

My sisters husband was on dialysis, and she left him in the hospital overnite and next morning his bed/room was empty and the day nurses didn't know ennythang. Talk about PANIC!!!

Dunno about that warfarin stuff. I'm watching a yellow bar of rat'n'mouse killer gitt nibbled up. 2/3's gone. (frown) ........the amazed Dell
