hey guys, on my 49 8N... is the rear hub actually supposed to make contact with the bearing retainer.

...and on the front axle pivot pin,the ID of the hole in the axle is not as big as the OD of the bushings I see hear, the axle came from a 1951. did these axle have bushings when built? do I need to bore the axle to fit the bushing?

The front axle had a steel bushing right from the factory. Did you remove it?

No, all there is is the bearing retainer and it looks like the hub has been contacting the retainer. is there a replacement part number for the bushing?

I'm sorry my mind must have jumped time, I thought you were talking about the rear bearing retainer. I'll look a little better for the steel bushing at the pivot pin.
