1949 model. When backing up a hill or something that makes a lot of resistance the rearend "pops". It is enough movement to feel it and you can hear it clear as a bell. My first thought is that it feels like both rear hubs are moving on the axles. I put new seals on it and hubs are tight and nuts are tight. Yes, they are 400 lbs tight and have the keepers on. There hasn't been any backing off of the nuts. At least one is aftermarket if that means anything.
No noises in any gear. I can use it for weeks and it won't do it unless I try to make it back over something. I am wondering if a bearing inside would do that, but I would think I would get some noise in road gear or something.
It's not brakes hanging up. Seems more heavy/driveline than that.
