I've never seen this implement before so thought I'd share. Someone would probably find it interesting. Looks like a gear is attached to the PTO, and then that drives the pulley. Seems like a good way to loose a finger.

The front might lift a little, but if you see the 3pt arms, they look locked in a very low position. So when the tractor's front goes up, those would hit the ground and prevent the front from lifting more? Just seems that is the only reason to have the 3pt arms locked in such a low position (and have stabilizer bars).
 
looks to me as if they just have stabilizer bars on them that wouldnt lock them down anyway,but its hard to tell.pretty cool rig,but i would hate to be on the seat when the cable broke!talk about getting your head thumped!!!
 
if you look at how the winch is rigged up,it looks like they were using a rope to dog the winch in and out.could have been using it as a donkey engine ,it has a bracket on front where they may have chained it to something.might also have had it rigged up to drive well points.pretty cool though.
