Massey-Ferguson 300 combine with corn and grain head brought $2,000 today(4/27/13) at Farm estate auction in northwest North Carolina. Seemed to be in good condition, but I do not know much about them, including when they were made. Was not there when it sold but got info from reliable source.

Anyone know what they bring elsewhere?

I went to buy a NH hay crusher and got it!

My dad had a super nice low hour 300, two row wide corn head and a 14'?? bean head, always sheaded. He hated it with a passion when we used to run it, It reminded me alot of a snow mobile, run it for an hour and work on it for two. He advertised it off and on for five years and couldent give it away. A year ago he traded it even up for an average 400 farmall with power steering. They arent worth much in Iowa.

In my area a decent 300 Massey can go all the way from $500
up to $1500..A neighbor ended up scrapping a couple of 300
diesels because he claimed no one was interested but I never
did see him advertise them..

I got mine with a good 10' GH, non functional 13' GH (parts), and good 3 row CH for $600. I figured scrap was close to a grand.

However mine does not have a date with the scrap man. I plan to use it on 10-12 acres to make my own feed.

Best part is it fits in my 12' wide barn opening unlike the old JD 6600 which had to sit half out.
