I was mowing recently and the tractor went into a dip in the ground and caused the mower to dig in and stopped the tractor in its tracks. After Restarting and moving the tractor and finishing mowing I parked the tractor and the next morning hydraulic fluid was leaking from what looked like the PTO shaft...Pretty bad too. Do I need to pull the shaft and replace the seals or is there something else I should watch out for? I have the Service Manual which looks like it's pretty straight forward...Engage PTO lever remove bolts, pull shaft, replace seals etc. Should this fix the issue? I'm some what worried there could be something else wrong. The tractor is a 65 Gas 3000 and was mostly neglected before I got it so I'm guessing this has never been done...Any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
