Jubilee hydraulics

I bought a rebuilt hydraulic pump from the old Hokie and got it hooked up, so now I have hydraulics on my Jubilee. However, I have a problem--when the draft control lever is vertical the position control lever will actuate the lift arms depending on how far down you push the position control lever. With the draft control lever placed horizontally, moving the position control lever does not actuate the lift arms. If the lift arms are all the way up, moving the position control lever causes them to drop to a desired level, but raising the position control lever to the top will not cause the lift arms to raise. What is missing, broken, or out of adjustment?? Your opinions please. Thanks

May need some clarification on the which lever you are referring to. Draft control/position control lever is the short lever just below the seat. The lift control lever has the aluminum knob and is used to raise and lower the lift.

That aside, your description seems to be pointing to a worn cam pin or an adjustment problem.

Forum: A senior moment--- I mislabeled the touch control lever as the position control lever---Poor memory. Anyway, when the lever for draft control is horizontal, moving the touch control lever down will lower the arms to any position you choose, but if the touch control lever is raised, the lift arms will not raise. Hope this clarifies my first post. Thanks to Dollar Bill for alerting me.

ounds backwards...doesn't make sense to me. Even if Position control were far out of adjustment, I expect that draft control linkage would at some point of touch control lever movement take over & still lift. Probably need to remove lift cover to see what is broken or maybe out of adjustment. Hooker there is that you need to understand how linkages are supposed to work in order to recognize what/how/where they are working incorrectly.
