I have some bearings out in the transmission on my 642 hydro. How do I disconnect the drive shafts so I can tow it without the transmission turning. How do I take the transmission down? Thanks for the help.

You can't... unless you pull the finals. Even then, you can't get the axles out unless you can slide the brake drum off. However, the axles do not need to be completely removed to pull the trans... they can be left dangling in the frame. Depending on the required distance, consider someone with a low-boy and just gentle it up on there.

Fritz is dead on,There is no easy way to take the axles or trans out.The easiest way to get the trans out is to pull both final drives and shafts out so the trans can be dropped straight out.
