Ford 861 LP

The hunt is still on for my new project. What do you think about this one? Seems a bit high not to mention 800 miles from me. Never messed around with LP? Is it worth it?

I don't know a thing about LP tractors Tom, can't help there.
That one's "beautifully restored" already.
What's the project perspective? Take it apart and restore it correctly?
Convert it back to 6 volt, fix the hydraulics, get the correct sized and
matching tires. Repaint and not paint the wiring, exhaust and tires? LOL
Maybe I'm just being critical, but at that price I'd be afraid of what
they are trying to hide under a poorly done coat of fresh paint.

"Restored" by whose definition? I see a GM alternator, a painted over Charge Indicator Light, what appears to be starter button on the instrument panel and 800 fenders.
The LPG tractors are NOT rare by any means. Take a drive through west Texas (200 mile radius of Abilene) and you will see more of them than you can shake a stick at. And that's all brands- not just Fords.
It will never sell for that price.
