Torque specs

According to the I&T manual, the head bolts get torqued in 3 steps. First pass is 50-60-Ft.-Lbs. Second pass is 80-90 Ft.-Lbs. Third pass is 105-115 Ft.-Lbs.

Some additional notes on the head bolts from the manual: Figures given are for lubricated threads. Tighten only when engine is cold.

There's a specific sequence for tightening the head bolts as well, but it only gives a picture. Basically start with the bolt on the exhaust side that's midway between the front and rear of the engine. Then the one opposite that on the intake side, midway between the front and rear. Then go one toward the front on the exhaust side and then its partner on the intake side, then one to the rear of center on the exhaust side and then its partner on the intake side, and keep alternating one more toward the front, exhaust then intake, then one more toward the rear, exhaust then intake, and so on until you hit them all, then go back and do the next pass at the next higher torque setting in the same order.

The connecting rod bolts get torqued to 50-60 Ft.-Lbs.
