Mr. Jacobs,

I don't see an email option for you using "Classic" or Modern View, but did a Google search and found your email address from some years ago ********@aol.com. I've sent an email to that address.

If that is not current, my email address is [email protected]

Bringing this back to the top. How is progress on this coming along? I'd be in for a couple of filters too if they are brought to market.

Also, Is there supposed to be a bracket to support the filter? It's able to move up and down and rubs on the gear-train. That just doesn't seem right.

I have to assume you guys are talking about Ford part # 309735 filter. They are available from New Holland under the same number. Two ads currently running on eBay for these filters.

Or, are you referring to the filter assembly in the pre-65 tractors?

309735 is for the '65 and up 3 cylinder S-O-S trans, and yes, they are still available. They are referring to the one for the pre-'65 transmissions, part number C0NN7B155A, which is no longer available from New Holland.

ce,

If I remember correctly (on pre-65 models), the right side of the filter is secure due to the fitting it attaches to being bolted/firm. The "return", on the left side (as you sit on the tractor) attaches to a long (12"+) tube that runs to the bottom of the housing/reservoir. On the end of that tube, there should be a "U" clip that rests over a casting ridge in the reservoir that keeps it more or less in place.

HTH,

Chris
