FOUND PROBLEM 821 clutch interference

This message is a reply to an archived post by corvetteguy on September 20, 2012 at 12:28:03.
The original subject was "801 motor interference on install in 812".

As TONY J had suggested, the flange on the
bell housing may have been machined 1/4". As
a result the stationary motor clutch was allowed
to go in 1/4" further. The back end of the
clutch was striking the boss where the clutch shaft
enters the bell housing.
A bit of grinding on the boss and I now have the
motor in with no interference, just compression.
