Were all Ford 2000 tractors made in England? If mine is a Dexta does that signify made in England? How can I tell English vs. North American made?

I think it was the Super Dexta that was sold in the US as a 2000. Dextas/Super Dextas were built in England. The later ones that look like the 3000's were made in both the US and England (and Antwerp). To see where they were made, look at the first digit of the serial number - s/n's beginning with an A were built in Antwerp, B's were built in Basildon, and C's were built in the U.S. (Romeo? Dearborn? not sure which plant was operating at that time.)

FWIW:
My 1974 2000 has an engine made in Basildon. All 2000 engines I am told were shipped to the US with the rest of the tractor made and assembled in Detroit. I am also told that all Dextas came to the US thru Canada, and not directly shipped.
