FEL removal

Hi guys: I need to split my tractor and I was wanting to know what is the easiest way to remove my loader off a 2000, Can I take it off in one piece or should I make it in 2 pieces. All input appreciated. Thanks

Not enough info.
It depends on what kind of loader you have and which 2000 you have - 3 or 4 cyl.
Some can easily be removed with the lift arms still on. Others are pretty hard to do even with the lift arms off.
Do you have a hoist or tree branch or are you doing this by hand?
A picture would help.

A lot depends on the type/brand of loader. I installed one on a 3000 a month or so ago and put it on one piece at at a time but it was taken off the same way and it was a jigsaw puzzle to put back on. But on the other hand on my 841 we took the loader off as a complete unit and also did the same on the 8N we have so a lot more info is needed for us to help you help your self

Question I have is why do you have to remove the loader? When iwe converted the 981 to a 961 we left the loader on thanks to Tony Jacobs and his way of thinking outside the box.

730 loader and it's has a 3 Cyl diesel and yes I have a hoist. I need to pull it off because I'm going to do a rebuild job on it. Hope this helps. Thanks again

Thanks for the added info.
Two hoists working together would be ideal.
You have to hold the front end of the frame up, slide it forward about 6" then dip the rear frame under the pedals and running boards, then lift them back up to clear the front axle.
We played around with one for an afternoon and gouged the pretty new paint on a 3600 trying to put it on. Clearance between the main frame and tin is Very close. We pulled it back off to fix the paint and still haven't put it back on.

Thanks: We were looking at it and was thinking the same thing. But my buddy says to pull off the arms and bucket and then the frame. Either way it's not going to be easy. Thanks Again for all you help.

Hello Jerry , When you go to reinstall that loader on the 3600 take a CLEAN piece of rubber sheeting(at 1/4 inch thick)or thin flexible rubber mudflap from a truck with holes in the corners and tie on the tractor to protect the paint near the valve , it works great and is the only way I have been able to save the paint on tractors with the limited amount of clearence you have to work with . Thanks Tony

Hello Mick , Remove the bucket only leave the arms on the frame , one lift, three chains, and a floor jack is all you need . One chain to the front of the frame, two the rear posts, and the floor jack under the mounting loop in the loader frame under the front end of the tractor . DRAIN THE OIL FROM THE FRAME , Disconnect the front pump and the drive shaft, pull the pins in the rear and the front bolts and lift . I do it with one of my loader/tractors by myself in about a half an hour , it is really an easy job . Thanks Tony
